About half of the KDA area falls under urban services. One third (32.85%) of the land goes to residential use. This makes two implications; first, vast lands readily available to accommodate future population of the city expands. Second, low population density in the city creates disperse settlement in the city. Those settlement creates problem in providing line infrastructure, utilities and services. More investment incurred to extend service lines to far off settlements.

While vast land parcels still lying undeveloped in the main city, density of residential structure comparatively very low in the fringe areas. Lack of affordability forces of the people provides  to buy lands in the fringe area. Urban infrastructure still inadequate in those fringe areas.

Recreational facilities including open space covers 0.23% of the KDA area. In absolute amount it calculates 150.17 acres. About 11% land covers by water bodies that include pond, canal, wetland, river and their tributaries. Formal green areas constitute 0.62%, or 399.72 acres of land.
