Existing natural drains and direction of natural flow depends on the elevation of the area. Minimum and maximum ground level varies from 0.19m to 2.58m and average height of land of the Pourashava shows 1.15m. Ward No. 1, 2, 8 and 9 are the high land area in respect of other Wards. The storm water flows from the high land to the lowlands and the ultimate destination reaches with the river, canels and ponds.
Insufficient Drainage network presents in the Pourashava. During survey, drainage outlets and reservoir found insufficient. Very few (3152 meter) man-made drain flows waste water and storm water regularly.
