Groundwater pollution due to manganese, iron and hardness is a major problem of the planning area. With expansion of urban area, more dependency on groundwater sources may increase the pollution level of sub-surface water.
- Use surface water of Sandhya River for supply water.
- Introduce rainwater-harvesting system.
- Reduce dependency on groundwater.
- Preserve surface water in ponds, khals, Beels, ditches and rivers for irrigation.
