Generally, police power uses to control criminal offenses. This power guide and enforces through different statutes and enactments. Those are Police Authority Ordinance, Metropolitan Police Ordinance and Penal Code. To control the criminal offenses, all the public authorities with a written request to the related police authority, use police power. Such criminal offense generates due to unauthorized construction, illegal trespassing and prohibit development activities. Unauthorized excavation of tank and razing of hill control by the police authority. Illegal connection of electricity, road occupied by the commercial activities, slaughtering of animals, etc. also exercises with the police power.

Most of the public authorities authorize to use the police power as and when required through their Acts and Ordinances. Such power uses all the authorities involve with the planning and development activities with a written request to the police authority. Though, some of the authorities are not permitted for such involvement. This involvement happens in two ways i.e. during implementation of development work and control the private owners to use the public facilities.
