  1. A region needs development in a holistic manner.
  2. But sectoral approaches are more specific based on their special fields.
  3. Everywhere in the world global networks are shaping the development opportunities

So, a region is a complicated and complex fabric with a large number of inter-related problems that can only be solved by an integrated approach.
