Development of Thana Center identifies as a part of overall administrative reorganization in the country. Such identification considers as the key strategy for social, economic and infrastructural upliftment. This also reflects national policy to reach the development administration and service facilities to the doorsteps of the people. With this goal in end Delduar Thana in Tangail district. The plan ensures easy accessibility to the benefit of development administration and dispensation of justice nearer to the hearths and homes of the people.
Location of Delduar Thana
In regional context, Delduar Thana, a fertile sub-region of comparatively high ridge of the Central Plain in Bangladesh. It lies within 24005′ to 24013′ north latitude and 89050′ to 900 east longitude on the extreme south of the district of Tangail. In locational context of Delduar, Tangail stands on the north, Nagarpur on the south. Again, Chauhali of Pabna district on the west, Basail and Mirzapur of Tangail district on the north east and east respectively.
Delduar Thana center includes 8 unions and 128 villages. Total area covers 72.70 sq. miles (188.29 sq. km.). About 161847 people lives with a gross density over 2226 persons per sq. mile (860 persons per sq. km.) in 1981. The figure is expected to rise about 254176 with a gross density 3496 persons per sq. miles.
Delduar Thana Sadar, characteristically a rural village. Emerges as an administrative center of lower order. Expects to reshape its character as a flourishing service center, through the process of sub-regional development at Upazila level. It stands, nearly at the center of the Thana region. About 9 miles (14.48 sq. km.) of the Tangail district town and expects to enjoy most central location of the proposed Upazila region.
