In the Tungipara Pourashava, people moves in both directions, going in and out of the both sides of the roads. The Pourashava forms without any footpath for pedestrian movement. Pedestrian movements take place mostly on carriageway and right of way of the roads.

Transportation facilities and services include Bus Terminal, Bus Stoppage with Shade, Ticket Counter, Waiting Place for Travelers. It also includes Parking Space for Motorized and Non-motorized Vehicles, Service Centre and Washing / Toilet Facilities. At present, no formal transportation facilities and services available in the Pourashava.

The bus terminal proposes in the plan will accommodate all type of transportation facilities. The proposed area for bus terminal covers 3.04 acres and locates at the Patgati mouza.

Parking and Terminal Facilities

At present, intersection uses as bus stoppage including loading and unloading of people and goods. Those intersections also uses for parking both motorized and non-motorized vehicles. Informal economic activities also often encroaches road space. All of those factors  together results traffic congestion and also for a cause of accident. Tungipara bus stand (locally known as Patgati Bus Stand) considers the key intersection. Buses stand for a long-time on this intersection. This intersection generates highest volume of traffic and most of those traffics use the carriageway for parking.

An architectural design of transport terminal incorporates in the plan. The proposed parking areas in the plan covers 2.86 acres and locates in the Ward No. 5.

Development of Facilities for Pedestrians, Bicycles & Rickshaws

According to the standard for provisioning of footpath, 2.5 meter is necessary, demarcates on both the side of the road. Development of facilities for pedestrians, bicycles and rickshaws include with the design criteria of the road.

Other Transportation Facilities

Other transportation facilities includes launch / boat ghat. If water way considers in the Baghiar River, 3 launch / boat ghat will be needed. Those ghats will be designed considering water-based tourism.
