Proposed Road

A number of new roads including improvement of existing roads presents in the following table. In the Pourashava, one primary road from Gopalganj to Pirojpur (as a regional road) lying with length 983.8 meter under the Pourashava jurisdiction. Among 17 secondary roads, 8 roads are existing and proposed 9 new roads. Again, among 17 tertiary roads, 13 roads are existing and proposed 4 new roads.

All the roads will construct under the road development scheme approved by the government for the authorities named RHD, LGED and Pourashava. In total, 37022 meter existing roads and 26911 meter roads  proposes for efficient accessibility of the Pourashava.

The process that the Pourashava or RHD can undertake to establish new road reserves for each of the proposed roads shows on the Transportation and Traffic Management Plan, presents below:

– At initial step, determine two points between which the new road will be required. In certain instances, the precise intersection or connection point will be obvious, whilst in other cases only a generalized location is identifiable in the first instance. Determination of the exact connection points can only be made once further steps in the process have been undertaken.

– Having identified two connection points (either known or vague), next step, to conduct a search of a wide area for identifying a number of alternative routes. Width of the area subjected to this search will vary according to individual circumstances, with the area being relatively narrow in dense Pourashava locations (say 80 to 100 meters), but wider in more rural settings (say 200 to 300 meters).
